The Austin area is in the third day of protests against police brutality that were sparked after the death of a man in Minneapolis who died after an officer placed a knee on his neck for nearly 10 minutes. At least 1,000 people took to downtown Austin streets to condemn police overreach, and hundreds more descended to the central business district for more demonstrations.
