QuickTrip Coming To 183A Toll, Hero Way West In Leander
Leander City Council approved the new development's zoning change on Thursday.

LEANDER, TX — QuikTrip will erect a new gas station and convenience store at the northwest corner of 183A Toll and Hero Way West in Leander.
Leander City Council approved the new development's zoning change on Thursday. This zoning change would become a minor planned unit development with a general commercial base zoning from a planned unit development/transit-oriented development zoning.
The first reading of the development was approved May 20 by council members in a 5-1 vote with Council Member Becki Ross in dissent, according to city council meeting records.

Robert Costello, who represents QuikTrip, said in the May 20 meeting the project will look nearly identical to the QuikTrip at 183A Toll and U.S. Highway 183.
Planning and zoning commissioners approved the zoning case on April 22 in a 4-3 vote, officials said.

Commissioners John Cosgrove, Marshall Hines and Becki Ross opposed the change with concerns that the area should not be zoned as auto-oriented and should be “governed by urban form-based code," according to meeting minutes.
