Stolen Property Recovered By Cedar Park Police

Tens of thousands of dollars' worth of stolen items were recovered after a resident saw his stolen stuff on sale at an app.

CEDAR PARK, TX — The Cedar Park Police Department has recovered hundreds of stolen items from a remote trailer property, officials said Monday.

On Tuesday, June 30, a victim of a local burglary told police he found his stolen tools on LetGo —an app that allows users to buy and sell with others. As a result, police said the Organized Crime Unit set up a sting to "buy back" the items, and were able to confirm the items were the reported stolen tools.

Through intelligence reports, police said they learned the suspects involved were the same couple they had been tracking for the past month related to several other burglary investigations in the area.

On the night of June 30, members of the Criminal Investigations Division, Organized Crime Unit and Central Texas Regional SWAT executed a search warrant at 14711 Quail Court, Unit B in a rural part of Travis County, police said.

While there, police said they found tens of thousands of dollars worth of stolen items being stored — including electronics, jewelry, clothing, antiques, bikes, tools and much more. Consequently, Addison Mullins, 27, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Burglary of a Building while Richard Orr, 33, is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Burglary of a Building.

The two people charged were taken to Travis County Jail, police said. Further charges are pending, officials added.

"Our investigation thus far shows the pair mainly targeted apartment complex storage units," officials said in an emailed advisory. "We are working with other law enforcement agencies across the state due to the amount of items recovered and believe there are items that could solve some cases dating as far back as 2015."

Anyone with information or questions regarding the recovered property are directed to call Detective Anthony Bridgewater at (512) 260-4886.
