Trendmaker Homes Buys 152 Lots In Leander

LEANDER, TX — Trendmaker Homes this week announced its acquisition of 152 lots in Leander within the Bar W Ranch master-planned community.

Company officials said new single-family homes on 41-, 50-’ and 60-foot home sites will offer "...fresh innovative designs, panoramic Hill Country views and riverfront frontage as well as easy access to Austin."

Trendmaker’s homes within Bar W Ranch will offer a dozen contemporary floor plans ranging from 1,400 to 2,667 square feet, three to four bedrooms and two to 3 1/2 baths, according to an advisory. Anticipated buyers include first-time buyers, growing families and families with teenagers.

Trendmaker will build all homes in Phase Four of the master-planned community, which borders a green-belt on the west side and connects to a pocket park to the east. Bar W Ranch’s luxury amenity center will feature a pool, flexible lawn space, playground, game courts and dog park.

Located along Ronald Reagan Boulevard near Highway 29 some 30 miles north of downtown Austin, Bar W Ranch offers homebuyers plenty of scenic Hill Country and surrounding ranch land to enjoy, officials described. The 500-acre+ master-planned community boasts more than a mile of South Fork San Gabriel River frontage that connects to a system of hiking trails and neighborhood parks, officials added.

Only minutes away, the mixed-use developments of Indigo Ridge and Northline will offer abundant retail, dining, work, exercise and social options, officials described. Bar W Ranch is part of the highly touted Liberty Hill Independent School District, which includes Rancho Sienna Elementary across the road, and Liberty Hill junior high and high schools, officials added.

The plans illustrate the brisk growth in Leander, consistently recognized as one of fastest-growing small cities in the U.S. As noted by the Austin Chamber of Commerce, the population of Leander reached 52,000 in 2017. "With similar growth rates predicted in the near future, the city is preparing to eventually serve a population as large as 250,000," chamber analysts wrote.

The chamber noted that the city's growth is spurred by myriad factors, including a low cost of living at 4.7 percent below the national average; an award-winning school system; and access to Highway 183A and a commuter rail service, two of the least congested transportation routes into the heart of Austin. "Nestled in the northwest corner of the Austin metropolitan area, Leander is also a short drive from the popular Texas Hill Country and Highland Lakes vacation areas," chamber officials noted.
