Williamson Seniors Get Vaccinated By County's VaxMob Program
To date, more than 528 seniors have been vaccinated through the VaxMob's efforts.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Forty homebound seniors in Williamson County were vaccinated Thursday with the Johnson and Johnson vaccine as a result of the county's VaxMob program.
Nine National Guard members, along with three Texas Infrastructure Fire Mutual Aid System members were deployed this week to expand the VaxMob’s capabilities, officials said Thursday.
This joint operation will continue next week in order to meet the demand of a growing list of homebound individuals still waiting to get vaccinated.

The VaxMob program, which began vaccinating seniors on March 2, was created to target areas around the state where the COVID-19 vaccine needs to reach to seniors wanting to get vaccinated, but who are unable to access a vaccination site easily.
The program is made up of Williamson County Emergency Medical Services Community Health Paramedics and the Williamson County Mobile Outreach Team (MOT), in collaboration with Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM), the National Guard, the Texas Infrastructure Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) and Round Rock Fire Department.
