Accused Santa Fe Shooter Won't Face Federal Charges
Accused Santa Fe Shooter Dimitrios Pagourtzis will not face federal charges, prosecutors said Friday.

GALVESTON, TX — Federal prosecutors will not be pursuing federal charges against accused Santa Fe High School shooter Dimitrios Pagourtzis, officials said. Pagourtzis, who is 17-years-old, is charged with 10 counts of capital murder in the May 2018 school shooting.
Since Pagourtzis is still 17, he is not eligible for the death penalty or life in prison, but faces up to 40 years in prison, if he is convicted.
Federal prosecutors met with victim's families, but decided against pursuing federal charges, according to a KPRC report.
