Body That Washed Up on Galveston Beach Ruled Suicide
A body that washed up on Galveston beach was determined to be a suicide victim.

GALVESTON, TX — It sounds a little unbelievable, it actually sounds borderline inconceivable, but Galveston County investigators have decided that the body that washed up on the beach is a suicide victim.
The theory being floated by the Galveston PD and the M.E.'s office is that Vitali Nicoleavich Hitov, 35, drove from Houston to Galveston with a gun.
He went to a rock groin at 37th and Seawall, shot himself twice in the chest, fell in the water and then washed up on shore. The self-infliced double tap isn't the only thing that seems a little odd about the story.

The GPD dive team searched for the gun that Hitov supposedly used to shoot himself, but couldn't find it.
Now, it's possible that some beach comber picked up the piece. It's also possible that Hitov, originally from Bulgaria, may have ticked off some of the boys from Brighton Beach and they wanted to send a message.
