Over the almost 60 years the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce has been around, we’ve met the most wonderful people and engaged with some incredible businesses. One we’d like to highlight is a business who has been a member of the Chamber for 50 years! Lakewood Yacht Club has been a long standing and dedicated partner and it’s because of members like them that we can do what we do for all of our members everyday. On top of being able to honor and celebrate them at our June General Membership Luncheon, we had the pleasure to ask them a few questions so all of their fellow members could get to know them! Read below to see more from Lakewood Yacht Club’s General Manager, Kelly Holst.

“Our Chamber is awesome.  They showcase our Club by utilizing the banquet facilities.  The Christmas Boat Lane Parade is very popular with our members, and we take advantage of opportunities for our Club to connect with the greater community through events like the Epicurean Evening.”

What is your best memory as a member of the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce?

I have to say, for me personally, it was picking up our award from the Christmas Boat Lane Parade.

Our industry is all about people and community.  I love to identify ways to bring people together to help cultivate community.

Driven, hard-working, and compassionate people.

What is a “fun fact” people don’t know about you?

I won a Cub Scout Soap Box Derby as a boy.

What is your favorite local restaurant or boutique?

I love all of the locals places!!!

We’re so honored and excited to celebrate this milestone with you. Thank you for your continued dedication to this Chamber and because of members like you we can continue to be Champions for Business Success and Quality of Life in Our Community. Happy 50th Year Chamber Anniversary!
