Dickinson Man Gets 20 years for Child Porn
A Dickinson man received a 20-year prison sentence for distributing and manufacturing child pornography.
GALVESTON, TX — Richard Wayne Barton, 51, of Dickinson will be spending a long time behind bars. Barton was sentenced to nearly 20-years in prison for distributing, receiving and possessing child pornography.
On Feb. 8, Barton pleaded guilty to running a social media website where child, beastiality and bondage porn was made available. Including images of children under 12 engage in sex acts.
A web hosting company tipped the FBI off to Barton's site and when federal agents raided Barton's place in February 2015, they discovered a cache of about 16,500 images and 1,100 videos of children engaged in sexual acts.

Barton's been in custody since he was indicted in September 2015. He'll be transferred to a federal prison camp soon.
