Loose Cow Causes 2-Car Crash On State Highway 146, Police Said
An SUV and a pickup were damaged after they smashed into a loose cow on State Highway 146 Friday morning, police said.
TEXAS CITY, TX — Two drivers escaped serious injury after they slammed into a loose cow on State Highway 146 on Friday morning. The accident happened at about 1 a.m. a short distance from the Chase Park Subdivision, officials said.
Police said the loose cow was hit by a truck and an SUV. The truck sustained significant front end damage in the crash and the SUV flipped and caught fire, KTRK reported.
Officials have not said if anyone was injured in the crash. The roadway was closed until 2:30 a.m. to clear the accident scene, police said.
