Seabrook Man Killed Diving Into Shallow Water
A 28-year-old Seabrook man was killed when he dove off the side of a boat into shallow water in Bogue Sound, N.C., officials said.

EMERALD ISLE, N.C. -- A Seabrook man was killed Friday after officials said he dove into shallow water off the side of a boat into Bogue Sound. Officials said Senator LeMay, 28, dove into the shallow water and when he didn’t resurface, someone from the boat went into the water to find him.
The rescuer pulled LeMay from the water and started CPR until help arrived. LeMay was flown by the U.S. Coast Guard to Carteret HealthCare in Morehead City, N.C., where he was pronounced dead.
The depth along Bogue Sound can be very shallow in some areas and diving is never recommended, town officials said. The exact cause of LeMay's death is still not known.
