Snakes at the League City Civic Center

The League City Convention Center will hold an educational workshop on Texas Snakes on June 23.

League City, TX — The League City Civic Center is going to be filled with snakes on Thursday, June 23. 

Clint Pustejovsky, a local snake expert. Pustejovsky will conduct an educational and interactive workshop showcasing some of Texas’ snakes from 10:15 a.m. to 11: 15 a.m.

 Although the event is being held at the civic center, 400 West Walker in League City, it’s being hosted by the League City Library. Attendance does require a free ticket, which will be handed out 15 minutes before start time. For more information call: 281-554-1113.

Texas is home to more than 100 species and subspecies of snake, but only 15 are dangerous to humans, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.  Venomous snakes throughout Texas can be broken down into four broad categories: copperheads, cottonmouths, rattlesnakes and coral snakes.
