Trial Of Accused Santa Fe Shooter To Be Moved, Judge Says
A Galveston County judge has agreed to a defense attorney's change of venue request, to ensure a fair trial for Dimitrios Pagourtzis.

GALVESTON, TX — Galveston County District Judge John Ellisor has agreed to move the trial accused Santa Fe High School shooter Dimitrios Pagourtzis, which is set for later this year.
Ellisor rendered his decision about the change of venue on Wednesday, officials said.
In January, defense attorney Nicholas Poehl filed a motion asking for a change of venue, citing pretrial publicity will prevent his client from receiving a fair trial in Galveston County.

Pagourtzis has been in solitary confinement since his arrest and is still undergoing psychiatric evaluations. he is accused of shooting 23 students and staff members, leaving 10 dead.
