University of Houston-Clear Lake Offering Fall Literacy Clinic
The University of Houston-Clear Lake is offering a fall literacy clinic for children in grades 1-12.

CLEAR LAKE, TX — The University of Houston-Clear Lake will be offering a literacy clinic for children in grades 1-12 this fall. The $300-per child clinic will be put on by the university's Center for Educational Programs in the school's Arbor Building, room 1300.01, 2700 Bay Area Blvd.
When the clinic starts on Sept. 12, students who want to improve their reading will receive one-on-one tutoring from UHCL school of education students. The college students will be working under the supervision of UHCL faculty.
Tutoring will be offered for students whose skills are, at most, three grade levels below their actual grade and want to catch up, as well as for students who are working above their grade level and want to further improve. Sessions will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays or Tuesdays through the end of October.
