Baby Found In Hurst Dumpster, Taken To Hospital: Police

HURST, TX — A baby found Friday morning in a dumpster in Hurst is uninjured and in good health, police say. The baby and an unidentified woman were taken to local hospitals for evaluation.

Officers responded to a medical call around 9:38 a.m. in the 900 block of Melbourne Road. When they arrived a few minutes later, they met with an unidentified woman who is believed to the baby's mother, a public information officer for Hurst Police Department told Patch.

The 9-1-1 call was placed by a witness, the officer said. No other information was immediately available.

An investigation is ongoing.
