Coppell City Awarded Certificate Of Achievement For CAFR

The City of Coppell’s Finance department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). This is the 31st year in a row the City has received the award, which is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. The Certificate of Achievement is awarded to state and local governments that go above and beyond the minimum requirements of accounting principles and successfully provide a CAFR that demonstrates transparency and full disclosure. Founded in 1906, the GFOA assists in the management of governments by identifying, developing, communicating, and promoting policies and best practices in government financial management.
