Coppell Fire Fighters Raise $22,000
The money raised will help fund programs and research at the Children's Medical Center of Dallas and University of Texas, Southwestern.

COPPELL, TX -- Members of the Coppell Fire Department and Coppell Professional Firefighters Association Local 3178 have raised $22,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's (MDA) Fill the Boot campaign. The money was raised from May 8 through May 10 by firefighters standing at various intersections around the city, MDA said in a news release.
“The Coppell Fire Department and Coppell Professional Firefighters Association Local 3178 have once again gone above and beyond for MDA’s families during this year’s Fill the Boot campaign,” MDA executive director Meagan Johnson said in the release. “We are so grateful for their dedication and for the generosity of those in the Coppell community who have helped to raise critical funds to help transform the lives of kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases."
The money raised will help fund programs and research at the MDA Care Center MDA Care Centers at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas; Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth; University of Texas, Southwestern, and Texas Neurology, P.A.
