One driver was charged with Driving While Intoxicated after a crash that left a Grand Prairie police car badly damaged.

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX — Grand Prairie Police Thursday shared dash-cam video of the harrowing moment when an alleged drunk driving crash nearly turned deadly.
Police said two officers were helping a stranded motorist on the side of I-20 near Belt Line Road on July 22 when an accused drunk driver slammed into the rear of the officers' squad car around 10 p.m.
A rolling dashboard camera captured the entire crash, including the quick thinking that kept officers and bystanders safe.
