Winter Weather Might Make Its Way Into North Texas Overnight

Residents in the southeastern parts of the Metroplex could see overnight sleet. Slippery roads aren't expected Wednesday.

Residents in some parts of North Texas might see freezing rain in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Although chances remain low, wintery mix could fall overnight in southeastern parts of the region.

Temperatures won't drop below freezing, so slippery roads aren't a concern. But outdoor pets and plants will likely be affected by the wet, cold night.

Most of the precipitation will fall in Central Texas, but areas south of I-20 and West of I-35 could be prone to sleet, FOX 4 reported.
