Two people were killed and two people were seriously injured in a natural gas explosion off FM 2756 near Texas 78 in Collin County on Monday, June 28 around 3:30 p.m.

The scene is north of Farmersville, south of Blue Ridge.

The initial investigation indicates subcontractors for Atmos Energy were conducting pipeline maintenance when an accident occurred, Collin County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Assistant Chief Nick Bristow said.
