The Chainsmokers, 5 Seconds Of Summer Play Dallas On Oct. 31
The Chainsmokers will perform at the American Airlines Center on Oct. 31 on their North American "World War Joy" tour.

DALLAS, TX — Electronic dance music is coming to Dallas as The Chainsmokers travel across North America on their “World War Joy” tour. Fans can get tickets now to see the show at the American Airlines Center on Oct. 31.

The Chainsmokers are the production and DJ team of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart. The pair started out mixing their own blend of electronic dance music, adding the sounds of drum, piano and guitar to popular songs by other artists. In 2014 they debuted “#Selfie,” their own single which made it into the top twenty in charts around the world.

In late 2015, Pall and Taggart released their debut EP, “Bouquet,” which featured hit singles “Until You Were Gone” and “Roses.” This was followed with their second EP, “Collage,” in 2016.
Their collaborations with other artists added to the success of The Chainsmokers, giving them a solid name in EDM. Their 2016 hit single “Don’t Let Me Down,” with American artist Daya, won them the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. This was followed by “Closer,” another hit collaboration with Halsey, which reached number one in both the U.K. and the U.S.

In 2017 The Chainsmokers released their first album, “Memories…Do Not Open,” which went platinum in just four months. Since then the duo has won numerous awards, including the 2017 American Music Award for Artist of the Year.
Joining The Chainsmokers on their tour are Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer, also known as 5SOS, who got their start on YouTube by playing cover songs. The band has won 50 awards, including the 2015 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Breakout Artist.
Singer and actress Lennon Stella, a native of Ontario, Canada will also bring her unique country-pop sound to the tour as opening act to The Chainsmokers.
The “World War Joy” tour promises to be filled with high energy and dance tunes as The Chainsmokers perform new tracks as well as many of their well-known songs such “Somebody” and “Beach House.”
