DALLAS, TX —In 2019 B.C. (Before COVID) and as far back as anyone can remember, the thing that made a Texas summer survivable was the certainty that you were never more than 10 minutes from a pool where you could submerge yourself up to your nostrils until somewhere between Labor Day and fall.

Now that the coronavirus has turned the world upside down, inside out and seemed to stop time in its tracks for a year, a new date is appearing that will offer weather-weary water lovers some respite: Juneteenth.
