Dallas Is Ready To Rock As International Guitar Fest Returns

The oldest and largest guitar festival in the world returns to Dallas Market Hall this weekend.

Whether your vibe is country twang or heavy metal, there's something for everyone at the Dallas International Guitar Festival, which runs today through Sunday at the Dallas Market Hall.

As the oldest and largest guitar show in the world, the fest reaches young and old, collectors and fans, and musicians famous and unknown. Patrons can shop, check out showcases and experience the sensory overload of an array of stringed instruments of every description.

While there will also be keyboards on display in the exhibition hall, the weekend is really built around and geared for the hardcore guitar lover. Effects pedals, amps, strings and straps, music memorabilia will all be available for perusal or purchase, along with mandolins, dobros, banjos and ukuleles.

The performance schedule, always a highlight, this year includes an assortment of players from around Dallas, the state and beyond. Currently featured on the bill: Tesla guitar slinger Frank Hannon, Snarky Puppy's Mark Lettieri, Samantha Fish, George Lynch and Celisse Henderson.
