More films will be announced in June. But the club says you can expect screenings down the road to offer a wide assortment of crowdpleasers, ranging from such themes as Juneteenth (featuring Get Out and Love Jones) to Fourth of July Weekend, (where you can revisit favorites like Independence Day, The Sandlot and The Goonies).
So if you're pining for the deluxe treatment of moviegoing without the elbow-to-elbow anxiety of an indoor cinema, you're in luck: This will definitely not be your parents' drive-in experience.
Unlike those dusty parking lots of yesteryear, this drive-in makeover will include an array of food trucks, a bar selling adult libations, seating described as "spacious" and yet "cinema style," state-of-the-art wireless headphones (which means no more interruptions from your neighbors), a 30-foot screen, and games to play outdoors before the screenings commence.
In addition, the club is offering a variety of tickets, including a lawn section, lounge seats with adjustable deck chairs and beanbags, if you're seeking that retro rec-room vibe. Admission ranges from $14.50-$22.75 (adults) and $10-$15 (kids 12 and under). Children younger than three get in free but must sit in Mom or Dad's lap.
In observance of safety protocols, there's limited capacity to provide adequate social distancing, and both concessions and tickets can be touchlessly purchased online. Employees will be wiping surfaces throughout and be masked while doing so. Customers will be "encouraged" to mask when not seated.
You can find the schedule so far and other details on their website.
