Dallasites Among the Happiest At Home During Last Year's Lockdown
"Hi honey, I'm home!" just took on a new meaning as Dallasites proved to be among the happiest home dwellers of pandemic, for good reasons.
DALLAS, TX —According to a new survey, Dallasites loved their homes in lockdown more than most Americans.
In a study of nearly 3,000 home dwellers across the nation, Dallas came in at No. #6 in home happiness during the pandemic. Their rationale: "friendly neighbors, dark and quiet sleeping places, and clean and organized homes."

Highlights of a study by ImproveNet concluded that Dallasites ranked at #6 for the happiest homes in America during "Quarantimes." And they hit the same mark for homes supporting sleep — meaning no bedroom TV, bedroom phones, a mattress that offers proper support and sleeping spaces considered "quiet and dark."
The city also tips in at No. #6 in its homes providing "comfort," which the survey defined as having other occupants who were not causing or experiencing stress, had pets in the home and were friendly with neighbors.

The survey also gave Dallas a #No. 7 ranking for homes "that support relaxation," which provide an organized and clean environment with limited noise and has soaking spaces, i.e. a hot tub, a pool or a bathtub where an occupant can retreat from daily stressors.
