DALLAS, TX - A gang member got a 40-year prison sentence this week for robbing and shooting a Dallas man two years ago.

Quinton Gold Hodge, 19, a known member of a Dallas gang, pleaded guilty last month to attempted capital murder. District Judge Mark Rusch handed down the sentence in a hearing on Monday, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Prosecutors said that on March 20, 2016, Hodge and an accomplice lured the Dallas man to Plano through social media. The man was robbed at gunpoint and as he walked away with his hands in the air, Hodge shot him in the torso, prosecutors said. The victim survived, after spending three weeks in the hospital.
