New Year's Schedule For Fort Worth City Offices, Services
Most city offices, including City Hall, will be closed Jan. 1 for the New Year's Day holiday. Emergency services will be available as usual.

A number of City Council meetings over the coming weeks are canceled. The next meeting will be Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.
Garbage collection
No garbage collections will take place on Jan. 1. Garbage, recycling and yard waste collections will slide one day forward for the remainder of the week following the holiday. Each residence is allowed two extra bags outside the brown cart on the first collection day after the holiday. Bulk collections restart Jan. 6. Drop-off stations and the Environmental Collection Center will be closed Jan. 1.

Animal shelter
The Fort Worth Animal Shelter is closed Jan. 1.
Libraries
All libraries will be closed Jan. 1; regular hours resume Jan. 2. Cambridge Court Library is closed Dec. 30-Jan. 3.
Community centers and recreational facilities
On Dec. 31, all community centers, the Haws Athletic Center and FW@6 close at 6 p.m. On Jan. 1, all community centers, Haws Athletic Center, FW@6, Log Cabin Village and McLeland Tennis Center will be closed.
Water
To access the Water Department’s automated system for payments and account inquiries or to report an emergency, call the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477 or visit H2Online.
Transportation
On Jan. 1, Trinity Metro TEXRail, The Dash and Molly the Trolley will operate on a regular schedule. Trinity Metro bus and ACCESS paratransit services will operate on a Sunday schedule. Trinity Railway Express will not run on Jan. 1. Customer care locations will be closed Jan. 1, but representatives will be available at 817-215-8600 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On New Year’s Eve, The Dash will provide late-night service, with the last bus dropping off passengers at Fort Worth Central Station at 12:44 a.m. Jan. 1.
