North Texans Could Be Singin' In The Rain For Another 10 Days
Weather forecasters say that rain systems are locked and loaded to deliver nearly two weeks' more of the wet stuff on the Dallas area.

After ten straight days of showers in the North Texas area, more are on the way. Tuesday evening saw DFW receive a half inch of rainfall, and the metroplex hasn't experienced a completely dry day since May 15. This month alone, airport records show that DFW has received more than 6 inches of the wet stuff.

Now the National Weather Service says storms and rain showers might be headed today toward North and Central Texas, raising concerns about flooding across the metroplex.

One Dallas County flood warning for the Trinity River is currently set to for a 10:30 a.m. Thursday expiration. Tarrant and Collin counties had similar warnings in place, but those expired Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, multiple roads at the southern edge of the county were closed by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Monday just before midnight. At this point, several have reopened, but the sheriff's office continues to advise motorists to seek alternate routes in and out of the area.
By week's end, possibly severe storm systems should return to North Texas, bringing with them potentially strong winds and heavy rain. Once again, residents of the area are advised that floods and flash floods remain a possibility.
