Puppy Stolen On Video In Broad Daylight

MESQUITE, TX — A family is heartbroken after its 10-week French mastiff named Chipper was stolen in broad daylight Monday afternoon. In the video, a black Cadillac SUV can be seen pulling up to a fenced area outside the home. A man can be seen walking up to the fence, violently grabbing Chipper by the neck, and placing him into the car.

"Thieves might have possible ties to Lubbock or Amarillo. $500 reward for information leading to safe return of Chipper," owner Ivy Bordeaux wrote on Facebook Monday afternoon.

The video of the thief has been viewed more than 1 million times as of Tuesday morning.

A request for comment has been placed with the Mesquite Police Department and Bordeaux. This story will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
