A majority of the fatalities in 2016 involved drivers between the ages of 25-44. 139 fatalities were males, accounting for 75% of the total fatality rate. In 2016, there were 52 alcohol involved fatalities. Unfortunately, this number jumped to 60 in 2017.

Fatal Crashes on The Rise

In 2016, Dallas saw a 28.4% hike in the number of passenger vehicle accidents. Luckily, motorcycle accidents decreased by nearly 53% between 2015 and 2016. Primary crash contributing factors included cars, pedestrians and traffic lights/utility poles. In 2017, there were 194 fatalities.

A closer look at the numbers reveals a very sad reality. Dallas accidents have spiked in the last few years. This data should be a reminder to always drive safe on our roads.
