Two Jailed In Irving Sex Trafficking Bust

One adult female was abducted from California and forced into sex work, police said. Another victim was a juvenile.

IRVING, TX — Irving police Sunday arrested a man and a woman living in the 200 block of Rolston Road for allegedly forcing two females into prostitution.

Police first began investigating the incident Sunday when an adult woman fled from the home of America Anderson, 20, and Devanshu Gupta, 26, and called to report she had been forced into prostitution.

She told police she was abducted from California and brought to the house in Irving against her will, police said in a statement.

Police said the couple would advertise the victims on various websites and drive them to motels to meet customers.

Police went to the house and found the suspects with a juvenile victim who was also forced into prostitution, the statement said.

Anderson and Gupta were arrested on charges of Trafficking of Persons, Trafficking of Child, Compelling Prostitution and Aggravated Promotion of Prostitution.
