1 Killed In Early Morning Shooting In Southeast Austin
The shooting happened just after midnight at Concord Apartments, police said.
AUSTIN, TX — An investigation into an early morning shooting that left one person dead in southeast Austin was ongoing as of Tuesday morning.
Police were called to Concord Austin apartments in the 7300 block of Bluff Springs Road at 12:26 a.m. after a person in the area heard gunshots, Austin Police Department spokesman Michael Bullock said in a news conference.
Officers arrived to find one person on the ground with a gunshot wound. Despite efforts of police and EMS, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Bullock said.

Someone in the area reported seeing a car leave the apartments around the same time the shooting occurred, but a description of the car was not available as of writing, Bullock said.
No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning, but authorities said they did not believe there was a threat to the public.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Austin police at 512-477-3588 or Crime Stoppers Austin at 512-427-8477. Tips submitted through Crime Stoppers that lead to an arrest could be rewarded with up to $1,000.
