1 Person Hospitalized After Train Hits Car In North Austin
A person was transported to an area hospital after a Capital Metro Austin Train collided with a vehicle in North Austin Tuesday morning.
AUSTIN, TX — A person was transported to an area hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after a Capital Metro Austin Train collided with a vehicle in North Austin Tuesday morning.
Austin EMS said at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday it responded to a call of a train versus vehicle collision in the 3100 block of West Parmer Lane.
A person was declared trauma alert and transported to St. David's Medical Center in Round Round with serious to potentially life-threatening injuries. No other patients were involved.

As of 11:16 a.m., EMS cleared the scene.
Capital Metro Austin announced Tuesday morning one of its MetroRail train's collided with a vehicle at a crossing at 11 a.m. in North Austin.
"The CapMetro team immediately called for emergency services to assist. A few customers were on the train and they are being transported to their destinations," Capital Metro said. " We will support our partners at the Austin Police Department to fully assess this incident and any next steps."
Capital Metro reported Tuesday it would conduct a comprehensive safety review of this incident. No further details will be available until that review is complete, authorities said.
