2K WilCo Seniors In Nursing Homes Receive Coronavirus Vaccines
Distribution of the vaccine to 14 long-term care and nursing home sites was made possible via a partnership with CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County health district officials on Tuesday said 2,020 seniors living in long-term care facilities and nursing homes have begun receiving the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
Distribution of the vaccine to 14 long-term care and nursing home facilities across Williamson County was made possible via a collaboration of CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens with support from state leaders. Taking the vaccine is a voluntary measure, officials noted.
“From the beginning I have stated that our seniors are our most valuable population, and they are the group of people who have suffered the greatest loss of life in our county and country," Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said in a prepared statement. "That is why we are using every resource available to protect them.”

Together we are battling this deadly virus and building a better tomorrow."
