2nd Annual Tomato Season Celebration Helps Improve Food Access
Farmshare Austin invites the community to enjoy tomato season and order their organic tomatoes and help advance the organization's mission.
AUSTIN, TX—Farmshare Austin, a nonprofit whose mission is to grow a healthy local food community by increasing food access, teaching new farmers, and preserving new farmland, invite the community to their 2nd Annual Tomato Season Celebration!
Scheduled Saturday, June 26 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., you'll be able to pre-order your 5 lb. box of organic, vine ripened tomatoes to pick up from Farmshare and sign up for a farm tour. In addition to homegrown tomatoes, enjoy a Farm Stand featuring beautiful Farmshare veggies, hands-on activities, and a chance to ask a farmer all your veggie gardening questions!
Proceeds from the event will help Farmshare's goal of working toward growing the next generation of Central Texas farmers and increase community food access. For more information, including link to preorder tomatoes, click HERE.
