3 Injured In Car-Motorcycle Collision: Austin EMS
Injuries came amid Republic of Texas Rally, a massive gathering of bikers that inevitably results in traffic collisions each year.
EAST AUSTIN, TX — An East Austin crash between a motorcycle and automobile resulted in three injuries Sunday afternoon.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics were dispatched to Decker Lane and Lindell Lane just before 12:20 p.m. Three adult victims were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center, two with serious injuries not deemed to be life-threatening. A third crash victim was hospitalized with minor injuries, according to medics.
It's unclear if the motorcyclists were part of the massive Republic of Texas Bike Rally that took place in Austin over the weekend, but the city was awash with thousands of bike enthusiasts from all over the country for the annual gathering. Inevitably, motorcyclists are injured in traffic accidents during the annual event.
