AUSTIN, TX — American Airlines officials this week announced an expansion of their nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to three additional destinations — Boston, San Jose, California, and San Jose del Cabo, Mexico — starting in April 2020.

“We added these routes with our customers top of mind to bring them closer to the places they value the most when conducting business,” Vasu Raja, senior vice president of Network Strategy, said in a prepared statement. “While it’s not our traditional hub and spoke routing, we understand the importance of travel for the tech community and look forward to offering these new flights to our loyal customers.”

The Boston and California routes will both begin on April 7, 2020, operating twice daily, Monday through Friday with convenient morning and afternoon flight options with the business traveler in mind, officials said. Saturday and Sunday service to Los Cabos will begin May 9, 2020. All three routes will operate aboard a Boeing 737-800, with 16 available first class seats. Tickets will go on sale beginning Dec. 16, officials added.
