Audiences Invited To Enjoy Fortlandia At Austin's Butler Trail
Mark Odom Studio unveils its installation, territories., along the popular hike and bike trail in the heart of Austin.

AUSTIN, TX—Outdoor lovers rejoice as Fortlandia is coming to the Butler Hike and Bike Trail, with the Trail Foundation unveiling territories., an interactive urban green space experience designed by Mark Odom Studio, on the east side of the Trail at Lakeshore Park. Join the community on Friday, June 25 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. at 1820 Lakeshore Blvd., Austin, TX 78741 and experience the re-imagined installation that reflects the new site and in partnership with Austin Parks and Recreation.
Featuring an eclectic collection of forts designed by local architects, designers, and artists, audiences will be transported to whimsical, imaginary worlds and generate a greater appreciation for art and nature. The theme of Mark Odom Studio’s territories. is based on the game "pickup sticks", and establishes a series of shelters, or territories, that is continually redefined by its occupants.
According to the event's press release, the experience is intended to delight audiences of all ages and promote an interactive event to entice audiences to enjoy the great outdoor spaces Austin offers. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with our friends at the Wildflower Center to host territories., and can’t wait to see children and adults alike enjoying this new creative, interactive feature on the Trail,” says The Trail Foundation CEO Heidi Anderson.
