Austin Food Drive Helps Food Insecure Children In The Community
Hungry Souls ATX invites the community to take part in their drive-thru food drive and donate food items for hungry children and families.
AUSTIN, TX—Hungry Souls ATX— an Austin-based organization that partners with local schools to provide weekend and school break meals for students and their families— invites the community to drop off food donations at their Drive-Thru Food Drive. This event offers a perfect opportunity to participate in advancing the mission of the organization in offering food insecure children in the greater Austin area the nutrition necessary to succeed, thrive and break the cycle of poverty.
Bannockburn Church South Austin located at 7100 Brodie Lane, Austin TX 78745 will host the drive-thru food drive on Saturday, May 15 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Items most needed include:
- Large cans of tuna
- BBQ sauce
- 1 lb. white rice
- Egg noodles
- Charro beans
- Fruit cups
- Instant potatoes
- Pasta sauce
- Sloppy Joe sauce (can)
- Can vegetables (15 oz.)
- Spaghetti
- H-E-B gift cards
