The route designation would require that all vehicles carrying non-radioactive hazardous materials travel through the City of Austin on the following roadways rather than travel on local streets or state business routes through the center of town:

The virtual public hearing allows the City and TxDOT to receive comments and concerns with regard to the designation of the NRHM. The public hearing will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 10 a.m. Comments must be received by Wednesday, June 23, 2021, to be part of the official record.
