Austin Student Receives 2017 Phi Kappa Phi Love Of Learning Award

Miranda M. Nadeau of Austin, Texas, recently was awarded a Love of Learning Award worth $500 from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

From The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi: Miranda M. Nadeau of Austin, Texas, recently was awarded a Love of Learning Award worth $500 from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Nadeau is one of 100 recipients nationwide to receive the award during Session A of the program.

Nadeau, doctoral candidate at The University of Texas at Austin, will use funds from the award to travel to Washington, D.C., to present her research at the Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association.

Nadeau was initiated into Phi Kappa Phi in 2017 at The University of Texas at Austin.

The selection process for a Love of Learning Award is based on the applicant's academic achievement, campus and community service, intended use of award funds as it relates to academic and career goals, and a personal statement. Each recipient will receive $500 to be applied toward post-baccalaureate professional development.
