AUSTIN, TX — Central Texans will have the opportunity to get free food from several drive-thru distribution sites throughout the month of March.

The Central Texas Food Bank will host several food drive-thru events across the Austin area every day in March to assist families in need after February's winter storm.

The food bank's website said volunteers will place pre-packaged boxes into the trunks of families' cars. Families will get 28 pounds of shelf-stable food such as peanut butter, rice, canned tuna and canned fruit.
