Gray Wolf Sightings Increase In Texas

As wolves go, the gray variety is the most common fox in Texas, according to to Texas Parks & Wildlife officials.

AUSTIN, TX — Residents across the state who have the Neighbors app increasingly capture delightful images of nature. Such was the case in Lewisville, Texas, where a gray wolf took center stage in a recent spotting.

While not everyone records them on their home surveillance system, many in Texas have spotted the elegant creature. And it's no wonder wolf sightings are on are common, as the gray fox is the most common fox in Texas, according to Texas Parks & Wildlife.

The animal has gray hair on their back and a black tip on their tail — hence is name. and they also have reddish hair on their chest, legs and ears. "Gray foxes are found in different habitats but are commonly found in places with trees like a forest," Texas Parks & Wildlife officials noted.
