White was interviewed by Austin police detectives and then returned to Killeen where he went into hiding, officials said.
What was White's link to the mass shooting?
White was one of the individuals who got into a disagreement with another group of people from Killeen early that morning on Sixth Street, according to Interim Police Chief Joseph Chacon.
Chacon said the mass shooting was the culmination of a disagreement between two groups of individuals from Killeen that began days prior to the incident.

Both Jeremiah Tabb, 17, and the 15-year-old juvenile, who were previously arrested for the shooting incident, were members of each rival groups, the police chief said.
Chacon said police have concluded White is the shooting suspect who struck Kantor and multiple victims. This decision was based on multiple interviews, ballistic evidence and video footage of the incident.
Following the shooting, White and Tabb fled to an apartment and discussed the shooting, Chacon said. Multiple witnesses said they saw White in possession of the gun that killed Kantor, Chacon said.
I may know where to find him. What do I do?
Authorities are asking individuals who may have information as to where to find White to call 911 or call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 512-472-8477.
"We ask that if you see him, do not take action yourself. Please, call police," Chacon said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information or video of the shooting incident to call APD Homicide at 512-974-TIPS and or email homicide.apd@austintexas.gov.
What will happen to the teen suspects?
Travis County District Attorney José Garza said Tuesday his office will drop charges against both Tabb and the 15-year-old juvenile, who were arrested a week ago in connection with the shooting.
Garza said his decision to drop charges was because it was "for the best interest in this prosecution."

Garza said at this time, there is not sufficient evidence that either of the teens fired a shot, nor is there sufficient evidence to seek an indictment.
"With the evidence we have right now, the law requires our office to dismiss the charges,"Garza said. "When the time comes, we will evaluate the totality of the evidence in this case, and if the evidence bears it out, both people will be appropriately charged."
Tabb remained in Travis County Jail Tuesday morning. Tabb was booked on June 14 for a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury. His bond was set at $500,000.
The 15-year-old juvenile was arrested June 12 and booked into Gardner-Bettes Juvenile Detention Facility for deadly conduct, authorities said Thursday.
