Texas School Ranked No. 1 in America by U.S. News
Two Austin schools rank in the top 10 for Texas and in the top 100 in the United States on the 2016 U.S. News and World Report list.

The No. 1 high school in Texas is also the top-ranked high school in the United States: the School for the Talented and Gifted, also known as the TAG Magnet School in Dallas. Three Texas schools rank among the nation's top 10.
Two Austin high schools rank in the top 10 for Texas, along with schools in Dallas, Houston, Arlington and Westlake. The highest rated schools in Austin are the Liberal Arts and Science Academy, ranked 43rd in the U.S., and KIPP Austin Collegiate, ranked 62nd.
"The U.S. News rankings include data on more than 21,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia," states U.S. News & World Report. "Schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on their performance on state assessments, their graduation rates and how well they prepare students for college."
The report includes information about curriculum, test scores and student demographics
