Travis County reported 1,002 new coronavirus cases and 27 related deaths in the week of March 1-7.

As of March 7:

  • New cases reported by county — 131
  • Active cases — 1,560
  • Total cases — 76,638
  • New deaths reported by county — 0
  • Total deaths since the start of the pandemic — 766
  • New hospitalizations — 25
  • Currently in hospital — 225
  • Patients in intensive care — 73
  • Patients on ventilators — 50
  • Patients currently at the Austin Convention Center's alternative care site — 29

As of March 7, Travis County has not updated its testing data dashboard since Feb. 27.

Here's how many people have received a COVID-19 vaccine in Travis County

Travis County has administered more than 167,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as cases continue to rise in the state, according to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Among those, 167,111 were first doses and 85,325 were second doses. In the latest week, Texas reported a total of 2,320,857 cases of coronavirus.

  • A total of 6,621,770 of vaccine doses have been administered.
  • Among those, 4,268,329 were first doses and 2,354,801 were second doses.
