ViaAir To Celebrate Austin - Tulsa Flights Launch On May 7

Inaugural ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. and will include a live music performance by Jenny Reynolds, ribbon cutting,, cake.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — ViaAir will celebrate new nonstop service from Austin’s South Terminal to Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Monday, May 7, officials at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport said.

Inaugural ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. and will include a live music performance by Jenny Reynolds, a ribbon cutting, cake and remarks from airline and airport officials. The Austin to Tulsa route marks the fifth nonstop added by ViaAir since December.

“Via is quickly expanding their service in Austin, linking the Live Music Capitol of the World to more new destinations,” said Jim Smith, Executive Director, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Along with new service to Tulsa, ViaAir’s nonstop options from Austin include Little Rock, Arkansas (LIT), Oklahoma City (OKC), Tucson, Arizona (TUS), seasonal service to Branson, Missouri (BKG) and winter seasonal flights to Steamboat Springs / Hayden, Colorado (HDN).
