Workshop Helps Provide Better Understanding Of Cryptocurrencies

Bitcoin, Cryptocurrencies, and DeFi: The Transformation of Money offers an overview on what you need to know about the trending asset class.

AUSTIN, TX—If you're like most, you're probably not able to read the news without coming across a story about cryptocurrencies and their emergence in our communities. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies was recently recognized by Goldman Sachs as an asset class, and The Austin Forum on Technology & Society will host a discussion to provide an accelerated and comprehensive overview on things you need to know to gain a better understanding for cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin, Cryptocurrencies, and DeFi: The Transformation of Money will be held on Tuesday, July 13 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Austin Central Library located at 710 West Cesar Chavez St., Austin, TX 78701 as an in-person, limited capacity event, but will also offer a Zoom link to view online. Speakers at the event will include Paul Snow, CEO of Factom, and Bass Bauman, Finance Director at ZenBusiness PBC, will help you understand everything you need to know in this accelerated, comprehensive overview. There will be an extended Q&A session moderated by Corina Frankie, Head of Digital Innovation at Troika, to answer all your questions and go deeper into these technologies and their applications.
