1 Dead, 4 Injured In East Austin Multi-Vehicle Wreck
Collision at Springdale Road and East 7th Street that occurred at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday results in the death of a man in his 20s.
AUSTIN, TEXAS — A person died and four others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision Wednesday night in East Austin.
The wreck occurred at Springdale Road and East 7th Street at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, according to Austin-Travis County EMS medics. There, medics treated five patients and pronounced a man in his 20s deceased. Three of the injured were rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center with injuries that were not expected to be life threatening while a fifth crash victim declined medical treatment.
Street were cut off to traffic for some time to accommodate rescue efforts and a police investigation. It's unclear what may have caused the collision to occur. The number of vehicles involved was not detailed in the medics' Twitter posts.
