Austin Week Ahead Weather: Hard Freeze Warning

The hard freeze warning for the Austin area is in effect until noon Wednesday.

AUSTIN, TX — A hard freeze warning is leading off the weather this week in Austin, with the National Weather Service issuing the warning to remind citizens that vulnerable plants, pipes and unsheltered people and pets are especially vulnerable to the cold.

The warning is in effect until noon on Wednesday, when the high temperature is expected to reach 51. The rest of the week will see mostly clear skies with clouds popping in intermittently, and high temperatures in the high 40's and low 50's.
